Leaflet Distribution W9

Introduction
The W9 postcode covers the areas of Little Venice, West Kilburn Maida Vale and Elgin Avenue.
It neighbours on Queen’s Park in the North-West, Ladbroke Grove in the West, Bayswater in the South and St.John’s Wood in the East.
50% of the local population is in the 18-44 age group. The proportion of single-occupancy households is higher than the London average here and over 50% of local householders describe themselves as associate professionals, professionals, managers or directors.
W9 is largely made up of terraced and semi-detached houses of various sizes with a few harder to access local authority housing estates.

Little Venice
The southern part of W9 is known as Little Venice. It contains mostly large Victorian and Edwardian town-houses lining the canal leading from the Paddington Basin north. In Little Venice, you can find some of the most in-demand real-estate in London here.
If we move up North past Warvick Avenue we are still surrounded predominantly by large town-houses some of which are divided into flats and some are still kept in their original from as large family homes.
All these households are easily accessible for leaflet distribution and even though a distributor does need to battle a good number of stairs in this area there are no other significant hurdles to deal with here.
Maida Vale
If we move further up north towards Maida Vale, we reach an area that mixes a number of easily accessible households with some larger apartment buildings and some local authority housing. In our mapping system, the undeliverable addresses here are left out.
Paddington Recreation Ground is also located right next to Maida Vale station and Elgin Avenue. It’s the largest publicly accessible green area in W9.
Maida Vale and Little Venice tend to be delivered to together in our system. Both of these areas are relatively similar in terms of demographics and we tend to recommend targeting both to most companies looking at running leaflet distribution in W9.
Elgin Avenue
Elgin Avenue is a large road cutting through W9 diagonally from Maida Vale to Maida Hill. It includes both accessible and inaccessible households, but we recommend including it in most leaflet distribution campaigns we run in the area. The sheer number of households that can be delivered to on Elgin Avenue is something quite unusual and ignoring it would be a mistake more often than not.
West Kilburn
West Kilburn has a slightly different feel to the rest of W9. While still an affluent area, the houses and streets overall here are slightly smaller than in Maida Vale or Little Venice. Due to its layout, West Kilburn is excellent for leaflet distribution as it mostly consist of residential streets lined by terraced houses on both sides.
