Leaflet Distribution SW3
Introduction
The SW3 postcode covers the area of Chelsea and a part of Knightsbridge. It neighbours on South Kensington in the North, Fulham in the West, Battersea in the South and Belgravia in the East. There are many things about SW3 that differentiate it from other parts of London.
The number of couples with children is relatively small. There is a fairly large number of single-person households in SW3 and the thirty plus age demographic of makes up for a higher percentage of the local residents compared to other parts of the capital.
SW3 happens to be not only one of the most affluent postcodes in London but one of the most affluent postcodes in Europe. This was not always the case as earlier in the 20th century it was seen as more of a hip part of town with many artists and a bohemian culture in general. This has changed now and the typical resident of SW3 has changed also.
Within Chelsea, one can find a considerable number of winding roads, mewses and hidden side roads that often have two or three dozen homes neatly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Chelsea and Knightsbridge
Chelsea is located between Brompton Road from the North and Chelsea Embankment from the South.
Considering it’s location, Chelsea and Knightsbridge surprisingly do not have too many undeliverable households located within their borders.
There are some large apartment buildings here but these difficult to delivery buildings do not make up too high a percentage of local households.
A good example of a road within Chelsea that doesn’t offer many opportunities for leaflet delivery would be Sloane Avenue as it has mostly commercial addresses and a few large apartment blocks.
Chelsea and Knightsbridge are both full of smaller homes, terraced houses and cottages of all shapes and sizes. These are generally easy to deliver to since the doors are accessible and the letterboxes tend to be clearly marked.
Chelsea is split in half by King’s Road running horizontally east to west. King’s Road has a rich history originally being a private royal road. Today it is the commercial centre of Chelsea and is lined with businesses and restaurants.
