Leaflet Distribution W5

Introduction
W5 covers the area of Ealing, Northfields and Hanger Lane. It neighbours on Alperton and Park Royal in the North, Hanwell in the West, Brentford and Gunnersbury in the South and Acton in the East. W5 is one of the largest postcodes in West London with a high population covering a huge area.
W5 has a fairly even demographic spread with approximately 25% of the households being families with children and a 50% being one-person households or couples without children.
The average income in W5 is still considerably higher than the London average which is evidenced by the fact that more than 60% of working-age residents describe themselves as associate professionals, professionals, managers or directors.
Ealing
Even though on a map Ealing looks relatively removed from some of the busier and more central parts of London it is fairly well connected with trains, tubes and buses.
The District line can be accessed from Ealing Common or Ealing Broadway and the Piccadilly line from South Ealing or Northfields stations. Ealing also has a busy commercial district with a variety of shopping and entertainment options.
Ealing has developed into a London suburb during the Victorian era when it transformed from it’s country-side origins into a busier suburb typical of the areas surrounding London.
It was originally occupied mostly by wealthy and middle-class Londoners looking to start families outside of the hustle and bustle of central London. In many ways it has still kept it’s character and the demographics have been fairly consistent throughout time.

Northfields
Northfields covers the southern most corner of W5. In terms of character it is very much in line with the rest of the postcode. The streets are mostly lined by terraced houses here and there is an easy access to a few beautiful green spaces. Blondin Park and Lammas park being the obvious examples.
As mentioned above, the Northfields underground station allows locals easy access to the Piccadilly line. In terms of leaflet distribution, almost all the households in Northfields are easily deliverable and as such it’s a great place to include in most campaigns looking to target homes in West London.
Hanger Lane
Hanger Lane is a busy road running vertically through Ealing and it has basically no addresses that are deliverable to a leaflet distributor directly on it. However, that doesn’t mean it should be ignored. There is a number of areas around Hanger Lane both to the East and West of it that have a relatively large number of households that are worth including in many flyer campaigns.
In our system, we include an area neighbouring Hanger Lane that can take approximately 4,000 leaflets to cover. This includes many detached, semi detached and terraced houses that are most definitely worth considering for all kinds of campaigns.
