Leaflet Distribution W7

Introduction

The W7 postcode covers the area of Hanwell and Drayton Green. It neighbours on Southall in the West, Ealing in the East, Greenford in the North and Brentford in the South.

W7 is quite well connected with public transport. Hanwell has access to the Elizabeth Line as well as the Piccadilly line via the Boston Manor station. Drayton Green on the other hand has easy access to the Great Western Railway services via the Drayton Green and Castle Bar Park stations.

Its western border is partially formed by the River Brent, which flows south towards the Thames. The Hanwell Lock is located on the River Brent in this area and it also has the Grand Union Canal Walk running by it.

Both Hanwell and Drayton Green are mostly residential areas with access to many green spaces. Brent Valley Park, Cuckoo Park, Brent River Park and Churchfields Recreation Ground being some of them.

Hanwell

Hanwell is a beautiful West London suburb with thousands of households in terraced houses of various kinds. These households tend to have easily accessible letterboxes and therefore provide good ground for leaflet distribution campaigns.

A number of green spaces, historical pubs, churches and schools can be found here. There is even a Hanwell Zoo. Hanwell is a family-friendly area with household incomes being higher than the London average and the demographics being slightly younger here than the overall UK average. It has been voted as one of the best places to live in London by the Sunday Times in 2022.

W7 also hosts the Hanwell Carnival, which is one of the oldest running carnivals in London, held since the late 19th century.

In our system, we’ve separated Hanwell into three parts. One covering the southern end of W7 around Boston Road. One covering the households in the Northern part of Hanwell between Ruislip Road East and Colpley Close. And finally one part covering the western border of the postcode.

Drayton Green

In terms of demographics and character, the area around Drayton Green station is very much in line with the rest of Hanwell and W7 in general. The households here are almost exclusively located in terraced houses with only a few exceptions. The small number of undeliverable addresses here are easily located and excluded from a mapping system of any leaflet distribution company.
