We at The Private Postman have mostly focused on leaflet distribution to privately owned residential addresses. We tend to automatically exclude shops, blocks of flats and council properties from our system. But now we have developed a new approach to leaflet distribution to council properties.
Problems with deliveries
Some of the reasons for council properties to be excluded from our standard delivery systems are.
– The fact that council properties generally tend to be enclosed and provide challenges with gaining access reliably. Some local authority estates allow for free access and hundreds of deliveries. Others are impossible to even enter.
This causes issues with consistency and since that is one of the main elements we look for at The Private Postman we have mostly not executed leaflet distribution to council properties in the past.
2 – Delivering to council properties in London is a time demanding task. Some estates are built in a maze-like way. Others are very spread out with hidden doorways. Delivering the same number of addresses is quite a bit faster to privately owned residential properties.
Our new system
In 2020 the Private Postman have developed a better and a more reliable system for leaflet distribution to council properties.
We now have a way of gaining access to previously problematic estates more reliably. This has become a possibility for us thanks to partnerships we have developed over the last decade.
This allows us to actually give you a clear figure on how many leaflets you will need to print to deliver to specific estates with minimal deviation delivery to delivery.
We have also further developed a mapping system specifically for council properties in London which gives you the power to be as targeted and specific with your campaigns as our normal leaflet distribution service.
Deliveries to council properties used to be mainly the domain of Royal Mail which is a pricey option compared to what’s available from private companies in London. We can now offer prices for deliveries to council properties that are competitive to our standard leaflet drop prices.
On top of this we are running shared distribution drops which allows us to bring the price even lower and provide a service that is basically identical to our standard leaflet distribution services to privately owned residential properties that have been the backbone of The Private Postman success over the last decade and a half.
