Leaflet Distribution in Totteridge N20

The Private Postman logo

The N20 postcode covers the area of Totteridge. It neighbours on High Barnet in the North, Edgware in the West, Mill Hill and North Finchley in the South and Southgate in the East.

It is a very well connected postcode due to the easy access to Northern Line tube services via Totteridge & Whetstone station. Oakleigh Park train station in the North Eastern corner of the postcode also provides locals with the ability to use the Great Northern and Thameslink services going both to Central London and places north of the Capital.

N20 is a very green postcode with the majority of it being covered in parks, gold clubs and open land. Totteridge is actually a protected area with some of the nicest surroundings that can be found in North London.

Historically

Historically it was an independent village but it is now part of the London Borough of Barnet.

It has the compulsory picturesque village green and a cricket club which genuinely is an integral part of the community.

One of the local churches, St Andrews, is home to a yew tree, which is believed to be about 2000 years old, making it the oldest tree (of any sort) in London (as verified by botanists from Kew Gardens).

Totteridge is also surrounded by numerous attractive and scientifically-important natural areas.

Most of the households are living in either terraced or semi-detached homes.

This makes leaflet distribution rather straight forward here since there are no industrial areas, council housing or too many businesses to deal with.

Most of the distribution will be taking place in roads around the tube station or going eastward through Oakleigh Park all the way to East Barnet.

Demographics

The demographics here are very similar to Finchley which is right next door. There is a very good number of affluent households here and any campaign looking to target these in North London should not overlook N20 as one of the areas to cover.

You will find a considerably higher than average representation of the 60+ age group. N20 has a strong Jewish community which provides another similarity with some parts of Finchley.

Almost two thirds of local residents describe themselves as associate professionals, professionals, managers or directors with income being slightly above that of London as a whole.

Famous residents past and present include Arsène Wenger and many footballers, including those from his rivals at Tottenham FC, Frankie Vaughn and Des O’Connor.

We of course apply all our standards when it comes to leaflet distribution here. We make sure that your leaflets are never folded and we never deliver in the rain.

Since N20 can be relatively difficult to get to from some parts of London we always make sure to not overload our distributors with too many leaflets and therefore we run slightly smaller distribution groups here compared to other more central areas.

This way we can make sure to guarantee the best and most accurate delivery in one of the nicest London postcodes.
